Our meetings kick off from 7:30 PM onwards. Whether you prefer to arrive early or join us a bit later, you’ll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere awaiting you. We understand that schedules can be busy, so feel free to drop by whenever suits you best.
VENUE:
Our meetings take place at The Oval Tavern, conveniently located at 131 Oval Road, Croydon, CR0 6BR. This cozy and friendly venue exudes a real community atmosphere, with its unique furniture and a charming walled garden. We typically reserve a table inside the main room at the front of the pub. When the weather permits, you might find us enjoying the outdoors in the garden area.
Informal Atmosphere:
TransPALS meetings are designed to be informal, providing a relaxed environment for you to catch up with old friends and make new ones. We don’t have any structured talks or formal events during our gatherings. Instead, we focus on fostering connections, sharing stories, and finding support within our wonderful community.
Food and Refreshments:
To satisfy your taste buds, The Oval Tavern offers a delightful selection of home-cooked food available for purchase at the bar. Indulge in delicious meals while enjoying the company of fellow TransPALS. Of course, if you prefer a refreshing drink, the pub’s well-stocked bar is at your disposal.

What to wear?
As our venue is an ordinary community pub, we encourage you to dress casually and comfortably. There is no specific dress code, allowing you to express your personal style in a way that feels authentic to you.
Access
The Oval Tavern is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from East Croydon station. You can easily reach the venue via National Rail, tram, or bus services. If you’re traveling from West Croydon station, simply take the tram to East Croydon. The pub is easily accessible, ensuring a smooth journey for all attendees.
